La Bodegueta Provença was born on our 68th anniversary as a tribute to its older sister, La Bodegueta de Rambla Catalunya

Coming from the ice and beverage distribution business, the Reboll family opened an office at 100 Rambla de Catalunya in the early 1940s. With the arrival and popularization of electric refrigerators, the business of selling from ice to the bottom, La Bodegueta focuses its offer on bulk and bottled wines, as well as spirits and soft drinks.

At the end of the 1960s, cold tapas or sandwiches were offered to anyone who wanted to have a glass of wine. At the end of the 70s, the night-time offer began, the tapas menu was extended and the popular Xampanyet was offered as the flagship drink that strollers and night owls enjoyed accompanied by the magnificent anchovies. It was in the 1980s when La Bodegueta began its current business configuration, maintaining the sale of wines as anecdotal, focusing its activity on the bar and restaurant service.

Its privileged location makes the terrace of La Bodegueta, in the middle of the Rambla de Catalunya, an ideal meeting point and an unbeatable place to feel the pulse of the city of Barcelona

La Bodegueta Provença opened its doors in 2008 on Carrer Provença, just a few metres from its sister restaurant on Rambla de Catalunya. If the first Bodegueta was born selling ice and wine in bulk in the 1940s, the newly opened restaurant seeks to captivate the public with an elaborate cuisine of tapas and dishes, with a much more modern and urban style.
